About The Waldo

Located in the beautiful small coastal town of Waldoboro, we bring live music, theater, movies, dance, and educational programs to our community year-round. Our offerings range from local, community theater performances to nationally and internationally known artist performances.

​As a historic and well-designed performance venue with near perfect acoustics as well as state-of-the art lighting, projection, and ventilation systems, we are a world-class jewel for this area. 

​Our thoughtfully designed and intimate performance area is beloved by the performers who come here. We also have the advanced technological capacity to bring the world to Waldoboro through live stream educational and entertainment content. 

The backbone of our theater is our community army of volunteers who, on a daily basis, make our operation possible, donating their time, talents, money, and skill. Their passion helps keep The Waldo vibrant and relevant as we approach our 90th birthday!
